Tooth-Coloured Fillings
A filling repairs a tooth affected by decay, wear or a small fracture. Tooth-coloured composite is carefully placed, shaped and polished to restore the tooth’s strength and natural appearance.
When Might You Need a Filling?
- A visible hole or dark area
- Tooth sensitivity
- Food repeatedly getting stuck
- A chipped or worn tooth
- Decay found during examination or X-ray
Why Treat It Early?
A small cavity may be repaired with a simple filling. When decay is left untreated, it can become deeper and may eventually require root canal treatment, a crown or extraction.
Small filling today. Stronger tooth tomorrow. The final price depends on how many tooth surfaces are affected. The number of surfaces can only be confirmed after clinical examination and, when required, an X-ray.
What Does “Per Surface” Mean?
Each tooth has several surfaces. The price depends on how many surfaces are affected by decay or need to be rebuilt.
1,000 THB
Example: decay affecting only the top chewing surface.
2,000 THB
Example: decay affecting the top and one side of the tooth.
3,000 THB
Example: decay affecting the top and both side surfaces.
Chewing Surface
The top surface used for biting and chewing.
Front or Back Surface
The surface facing the lips, cheeks, tongue or palate.
Side Surfaces
The surfaces touching the neighbouring teeth.
The Filling Process
A cavity may involve several surfaces even when it appears small from the outside. The dentist will confirm the number of surfaces after examination and, when required, an X-ray.
